Salted Caramel Apple Cupcakes

Salted Caramel Apple Cupcakes

On a diet? Then you might want to look away now. These Salted Caramel Apple Cupcakes are completely unapologetic in their calorific magnificence.

You might recall when I shared my Apple Curd recipe that I was sent a case of 80 Aussie Apples. In that case I’m sure it comes as no surprise I have another apple recipe to share with you. This time I’ve taken things up a notch…or three.   With the addition of salted caramel, spices, salted caramel buttercream frosting, dehydrated apple wafers and yet more salted caramel oozing down the frosting these cupcakes are anything but boring. I present to you my Salted Caramel Apple Cupcakes!

One thing I will warn you about is that there is no delicate ladylike way to enjoy these Salted Caramel Apple Cupcakes. You will probably end up with either some caramel or frosting on your face or both. But what is life without a bit of mess and a bit of indulgence :)

While there are a few components it's really not hard to make these babies. Especially if you make the caramel and the apple wafers the day before :D

You've really excelled yourself with these cupcakes - they look gorgeous! Salted caramel is one of my all time favourite things, and I love the combination with apples - like toffee apples, but in cupcake form, and better!

Delicious blend of flavors. I always did like the salty sweet caramel apples and I know having in a cupcake form would be amazing. The presentation you did is picture perfect! Great recipe as well as stunning photos-well done.

What scrumptious cupcakes! Caramel and apple is a superlative pairing. The whimsical striped cupcake wrappers and the apple topper are charming. A delicious post!
