I can’t believe we are edging ever closer to Christmas. It’s mid December already!!! How did that happen? I’m sure there is a secret conspiracy where days in December aren’t really 24 hours in length because it really seems that once we hit December time flies by at such a rapid pace.

I was contacted a while ago by Franchise Fit Out Services asking if I was interested in reviewing the Blendtec HP3A Homeblender. When I heard the name Blendtec I thought it sounded familiar and then recalled hilariously clever “Will It Blend” videos I had seen on You Tube. This clever marketing campaign showed the power of the Blendtec blenders by blending unusual objects, such as whole cans of Coca Cola, iPads, rakes and Justin Beiber merchandise.

Simpatico is located on Given Terrace near the corner of Latrobe Terrace, in bustling Paddington, and is just the place to catch up with friends after shopping at the trendy boutiques and visiting the galleries in the area.

It’s week 3 of Mushroom Mania, and this week I visited the James St Bistro in Fortitude Valley.

James St Bistro next door to the Palace Cinema’s making it a popular spot for movie goers for meals before a movie or post movie drinks. It is also conveniently located to the vast array of shops dotted along James St and the James St Markets.

Review of Daniel Boulud's restaurant Daniel

On our recent holiday in the United States one of the things I specifically wanted to do was visit Daniel Boulud’s restaurant Daniel in New York. So it was with much excitement, on our second day in New York, we visited Daniel. I have to say it was the most amazing meal of my life.

Daniel Boulud is recognised as one of the United States best Chef’s, and the seemingly endless list of awards are testament to that – Outstanding Restauranteur in 2006 and Outstanding Restaurant in 2010 by the James Beard Foundation, Culinary Institute of America 2011 Chef of the Year and in 2006 The President of France made him a Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur in recognition for his contribution to the advancement of French food and culture. Daniel Boulud’s flagship restaurant Daniel has also received just as many awards including 3 Michelin stars in 2010, which is the guides highest rating.
