Madeleines Au Chocolat Recipe from French Women Don't Get Fat

On a recent trip to Adelaide I came across Mireille Guiliano’s The French Women Don’t Get Fat Cookbook at the airport bookshop.  I’ve not read her book French Women Don’t Get Fat, but I am obsessed with cookbooks and have built up quite a collection, and on a flick through of the book some of the recipes in this book intrigued me (for some reason I love French recipes) enough to add this book to my already overflowing collection.

Raspberry Dark Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Cake Recipe

I love raspberries, I can’t get enough of them. Not only are they delicious, but they are also good for you as they are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. The health benefits of raspberries and dark chocolate (which is also high in antioxidants) aren’t what prompted me to make this cake though. I just adore the combination of raspberries with dark chocolate. It’s such an indulgent combination.

Nigella Lawson Totally Chocolate Cookie Recipe

I recently decided to make Nigella Lawson’s Totally Chocolate Choc Chip Cookies again, but this time with the added addition of some white chocolate chips. The end result provided a combination of dark chocolate cookies, milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips. In other words, heaven for any chocoholics, like myself.

Hummingbird Cake

Hummingbird cake would have to be one of my all time favourite cakes. I love that it’s satisfying in it’s sweetness, but not overly sickly as chocolate can often be. With the fruit it almost seems a healthy indulgence.

Minestrone Soup

When I’m feeling under the weather there is nothing I love more than a wholesome, healthy and heart warming minestrone soup. I’ve loved minestrone soup from when I was a child and my Nana used to make it and I have many memories of sitting at her kitchen table, in the cold Tasmanian winter, tucking into a bowl of her soup. So when I was recently battling a cold, so the first thing I did was make some minestrone. Somehow it magically makes me feel better.
