Like lemon cordial? Did you know you can make your own at home using a couple of ingredients?
I love the idea of making your own cordial, which is so much better than buying store bought cordial that is packed with synthetic colouring and flavours.
I’m not a cordial drinker, nor do I drink soft drinks either. For me it’s water, sparkling water and the occasional fruit juice, but when I came across this recipe for lemon cordial in , I couldn’t wait to try it, as my love of all things lemon knows no bounds. And this was no exception. This cordial is deliciously refreshing and full of natural lemon flavour. It’s wonderful served simply with chilled water or can be used to make delicious cocktails for something a little more special.

I absolutely love the idea of making my own cordial! Although I tend to go for homemade lemonade (I also use a delicious recipe for this). It is so '50s housewife
Great picture!

Wow I have never considered making cordial at home, I too am a water drinker but I do enjoy a lemon drink when it’s made from fresh lemons.
I'd never considered making cordial at home either. It was lovely to have this as something different to the water I always drink.
I am like you. I hardly drink soft drinks, and I can't remember when was the last time I had a cordial drink. Probably years back, when I was still in high school? This lemon cordial looks beautiful! I can't hep but stare at the 2 cups of sugar in the ingredients list though.

You could easily reduce the amount of sugar in the cordial to suit your taste. I also found that the cordial was quite strongly lemon flavoured so I only needed a tiny amount when mixing it with water.
I love the idea of cordial, but then I see the sugar content and decide I'd rather eat it than drink it…
Still, homemade is always better
This sounds delicious. A lovely refreshment on a hot summer day.

Ah, this reminds me of making lemon cordial with a close family friend when I was little
I don't drink cordial now, just water, but I think this would make a great gift, especially to families with kids who go through cold drinks so quickly.
Your right Kiki, it definitely would make a great gift.
It looks delicious! I’ve never made lemon cordial but I agree that making this at home will probably beat store bought any day!
